POLLOCK, Jerry A., 77, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 in his home. Jerry was born May 2, 1941 in South Vienna, Ohio to Wayne and Marguerite (Wilson) Pollock. He retired from Navistar after 42 years. Jerry was an avid car enthusiast and football fan, especially following The Ohio State Buckeyes. Known as the Mouse, he loved spending many hours customizing and painting cars for friends, giving them the cars of their dreams. Several of his masterpieces won numerous awards and graced car magazine covers. Jerry shared a special bond with his grandson, Justin. If Jerry wasn't watching Justin play sports, they were watching sports together. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanie M. (Foster) Pollock; two children, Gary Pollock and Tammy (Sam) Schiessler; one grandson, Justin Schiessler; and six nieces and nephews, Jim and Scott Pollock, Darin and Marilyn Foster, Nikki Burson and Steve Shafer. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Pollock; and a nephew, Tom Foster. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Larry Gearhart officiating. Entombment of ashes will be held at St. Bernard Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association of Central and Southern Ohio.
