Jerome R. "Jerry" Zettler

Zettler, Jerome R. "Jerry", 73, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Jerry was born on February 13, 1943 in Springfield, OH to Francis and Marie (Wiener) Zettler. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and later retired as a Master Technician from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1994, after 21 years of service. He was also a member of St. Joseph Church, the American Legion and AMVETS. Survivors include three children, Patrick (Gina) Zettler Carbonaro, Kristin (Shannon Robinson) Zettler, and Joshua (Christine) Zettler; nine grandchildren; girlfriend, Betty Elberfeld; two sisters-in-law, Ann Elizabeth "Libby" Zettler and Marlene Zettler; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas and Edwin; and sister in-law Rose. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Louis Asobi officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Legion Department of Ohio.
