Asebrook, Jerome D. "Jerry", 71, of Springfield, died May 15, 2014 in Good Shepherd Village. He was born June 5, 1942 in Springfield, OH to Robert L. and Eleanor (Boswell) Asebrook. Jerry retired after 19 years as a commissary manager with the Ohio Department of Corrections. Prior to that he owned and operated National Television for a number of years. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, K of C Council 624, St. Vincent DePaul Society, a 1960 graduate of Catholic Central High School, held a single engine pilot license, and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Jerry and his wife, Linda, were active in the Parkinson Support Group. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda J. (Martin); a son J. Michael (Caroline) Asebrook, Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Christopher and Jonah Asebrook; three sisters, Nancy (Jim) Lyons, Angie Payton, and Theresa (Dick) Silvers of Springfield; brother in law, James (Patricia) Martin; sister in law, Carol (Bill) Mack, Parma Heights, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Rita Asebrook, two sisters, Barbara Joanne Campbell and Norma J. Delaber; and a brother, Robert L. Asebrook, Jr. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
