Jennie L. Wallace

WALLACE, Jennie L., 91, of Springfield passed away February 4, 2015 at Villa Springfield after several months of failing health. She was born Jan. 24, 1924 in Quantico Virginia to Joseph B. and Jennie L. (Knowles) Flanigan. Jennie was active with the Amvets Post 25 Auxiliary, for a number of years as VA Hospital visit chairman, a member of the American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary, V.F.W. Post 1031 Auxiliary and Eagles Aerie 397. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John E. Wallace, grandson John R. Wallace and sister, Julia McLaughlin. She is survived by a son John J. (Andrea)Wallace, Selma, North Carolina, daughter Linda L. Wallace, Clifton, sisters Juanita (Glenn) Harsh, Mechanicsburg, Josephine Perry, Newark, granddaughter Andrea Wallace, Atlanta, Georgia and 2 great-granddaughters. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite animal charity in her honor. The family is being served by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
