ULERY, Jeffrey S., 55, formerly of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in Columbus. He was born April 2, 1959 in Springfield, the son of Philip and Barbara (Martin) Ulery. Jeff was a 1977 graduate of Shawnee High School. Then he earned a Bachelor's Degree at Otterbein University where he was a member of the varsity tennis team. Following graduation, Jeff worked at Ulery's Greenhouse for many years and then pursued other successful ventures within sales and business including Edward Jones financial advising. Jeff was passionate about his work and very fond of Ohio State and Otterbein athletics, exercise, and officiating various levels of football. He loved his children and grandchildren and often reminisced about past family beach vacations and reunions. He is survived by Lisa Ulery (Pequignot) of Enon, OH and three children, Camille (Calen) Bowshier of Union, OH, Alyssa Ulery of Columbus, OH and Philip Ulery of Delaware, OH; three grandchildren, Nashton, Lucille and Penelope Bowshier; father and step-mother, Philip (Mary) Ulery of Naples, FL; sister, Jill (John) Leahy of Oconomowac WI; brother, Mitch (Anette) Ulery of Springfield, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Conroy Funeral Home 1660 E High Street in Springfield, OH on Saturday, February 28th from 2-4 pm. Jeff's family would like to express special appreciation and gratitude to Mary and Cindy Sayers, Andy and Cheryl Zappe, and Jim George. Jeff cherished your lasting friendships and support. Another special thanks to Jeff's church family at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbus and to the medical and support staff who cared for him. Jeff always felt that he was receiving the best care during his twelve month bout with cancer. In alignment with his wishes to cure the disease, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the James Cancer Center.
