Jeffrey E. Young

Young, Jeffrey E., 59, of South Vienna, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born in Springfield on December 6, 1957 the son of Harry and Betty (Hughel) Young. He worked at the Truck Specialty Center for Navistar for the past 32 years. He was a 1976 graduate of Northeastern High School, a member of the Springfield Sportsman Club and loved the outdoors, especially the water. Survivors include his wife, Susan T. (Benning); son, Cole Young; aunt and uncle, Bernice (Tom) Evans; cousins, Evan (Whitney) Evans, Lauren (Randy) Ballard, Jamie Hughel and James (Tammy) Hughel; longtime friends, Doug Hinderer, David Peart (brother-in-law), Robb Meade and Jeff's second family, the Bennings. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Burial will be in Vernon-Asbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to a fund to benefit Cole Young's education at International Harvester Credit Union.
