Jean S. Cooper

COOPER, Jean S., 83, of Springfield, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 in her home.  She was born in Ironton, Ohio to Alfred M. & Ethel M. (Wilson) Smith on November 4, 1938.  Jean graduated from Ironton High School in 1956 and went on to work for Ohio Bell up until she met her future husband, Bill Cooper, whom she married in 1957.  They had two children, Kathy Bowshier and Tim (Denise) Cooper; seven grandchildren, Jake (Beth) Cooper, Jeremy (Shawnda) Cooper, Jeffrey (Darylanna) Cooper, Jade Cooper, Jennifer Bowshier and Justin (Krista) Bowshier; great grandchildren, Paiden, Linkin, Levi, Ryder, Jax, Luna, Paisley, Kayla (Jordan), Devin, Aaron, Darius, Dayshia (Gary), Liberty, Camden, Jaswan and Corissa; one great-great grandchild, Baby J; sister, Joyce (David); numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Poke.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Will, in 2009; great grandson, Bryce; 2 sisters, Pat & Doris; a special aunt, Teddy; and a special cousin, Sharon.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.  Visitation will be held one hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  Burial will take place in Rose Hill Burial Park.
