Janet Louise Culp

CULP, Janet Louise, 81, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Vancrest of Urbana. Janet was born February 27, 1936 in Hamilton, OH to Eugene and Lora (Boblitt) May. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and retired from Olan Mills after 20 years. She was also a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Janet was a very loving wife and wonderful mother. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Gerald "Jerry" Culp; daughter, Kathy (Stephen) Lawhorn; step-daughter, Rebecca Apone and family; siblings, Peggy Harris and Jackie (Bill) Wikoff; two grandchildren, Steve and Andy; three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one very special niece, Sue Adkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Little Marie, Jean Hatcher, Jo-Ann Skiles, Ruth Ann Dixon and Theresa Gallion, and four brothers, Buddy May, Patrick May, Frank May and Tom May. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Visitation will be held one-hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
