Keenan, Janet E., 81, of Springfield, OH passed away April 4, 2014 at the Ohio Masonic Home. Born April 2, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA and adopted as an infant by Lester and Florence (Haney) Lehman of Salem, Ohio, Janet attended Salem High School and graduated from Wittenberg University in 1955, the same year she married Rev. Richard G. Keenan who preceded her in death in 1985. She worked as a teacher for many years at Hazel Harvey Elementary in Doylestown, OH and Central Elementary in Shelby, OH. Upon retirement, Janet stayed active at All Saints Lutheran Church in Worthington, OH where she participated in bell choir and volunteered with Stephen Ministries providing comfort to the terminally ill. Survivors include three children, Timothy Keenan, Salem, OH, Jeffrey Keenan, Columbus, OH, and Leanne (Patrick) Bowen, Powell, OH; and three grandchildren, Emily Christine Bowen, Jason William Bowen and Joshua Keenan Bowen. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
