Powers, Jane I., 75, of Springfield, passed away at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pike County, Ohio on August 27, 1940 the daughter of M. Bernice Beekman. She was the Vice President at Turn All Machine & Gear, a member of First Christian Church and an avid golfer. Survivors include her loving husband, Carl D. Powers; son and daughter-in-law, Michael S. (Jennifer) Powers of Springfield; two sisters and spouse, Deborah (Michael) Stottlemyer and Tina D. Pacine all of Springfield; two brothers and spouses, Thomas (Carla) Hix of Indiana and John (Karen) Koons of Oklahoma; four grandchildren and spouses, Justin (Marsha) Powers, Dustin (Carah) Powers, Meghan and Kaitlyn Powers; special nieces, Nicole (Trent) Hacker and Ashley Stottlemyer; special nephew, Joshua (Jennifer) Pacine and numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Randall in 2001, mother, M. Bernice Beekman and grandparents, Melvia and Vora Beekman. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at The James Cancer Center and Springfield Regional ICU. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church with Pastor Craig Grammer officiating. The family will receive friends two and ½ hours prior, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the church.
