Meyer, Jane D., 95, of Springfield, passed away on January 23, 2013 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 3, 1917 in Chicago, Indiana the daughter of Arthur G. and Agnes S. (Feeney) McLaughlin. She was a 1935 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a 1939 graduate of Mary Manse College. Jane worked as a third grade teacher at St. Teresa School for 17 years. She was a devoted member of St. Teresa Catholic Church where she served as a Sacristan for many years. She was a member of C.L.C., Catholic Women's College Club and the Mercy Guild. Jane is survived by her seven children and spouses, Judy (Jay) Back of Tulsa, Ok, Mike (Patty) Meyer of Springfield, Patty (Drew) Hellmuth of Springfield, Jim (Jane) Meyer of Mansfield, Art (Valerie) Meyer of Dayton, Mary Jane (Dan) McHugh of Springfield and Janice (Mike) Halpin of Springfield; 19 grandchildren, Michael Back, Kevin (Mary) Back, Stephen (Jacqui) Back, Steve Meyer, Doug (Jenny) Meyer, Traci (Kevin) Amidon, Jason Meyer, Deborah (Doug) Bosner, Andy Hellmuth, Jana (Jeff) Tucker, David Meyer, Jessica Meyer, Ele Meyer, Katie McHugh, Patrick McHugh, Emily Halpin, Julie Halpin, Joey Halpin and Kelly Halpin; great grandchildren, Elliott Back, Michael, Jake and Ellie Meyer, Mathis and Broc Amidon, Quinlan Bosner, Samantha and Conor Meyer and Brian Halpin. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond M. in 1978 and her sister Judy Seggerson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Teresa Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Gearhart officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
