James W. Acra

Acra, James W., 90, of Deltona, FL, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on July 6, 1924 the son of Walter and Nellie Acra. He owned Eagle Beverage Company in Springfield for many years and was a veteran of World War II serving with the 17th Airborne Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Survivors include his sons, James E. (Kathleen) Acra, John D. Acra; grandson, David J. (Kerianne) Acra and two great-grandsons, Corbin and Linus Acra. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha J. Acra; brother, Milton Acra; sisters, Meredith, Lou, Kate, Jane and Betty Jo. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Central High School, Springfield YMCA or a charity of your choice. Private arrangements are being handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
