James L. Westbeld

Westbeld, James L., 79, of Springfield, passed away at 4:04 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in his home. He was born in Springfield on September 20, 1936 the son of Louis and LaDonna (DePuy) Westbeld. He retired from Pentaflex after many years of service, was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Eleanor A. (Ealey); daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie (Joseph) Castle; son and daughter-in-law, James A. (Holly A.) Westbeld; sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Jerry) Satterfield all of Springfield and six grandchildren, Justin, Bradley, Brittany, Olivia, Jacob and Allison. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lou Whalen. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Bill Kramer officiating. Visitation will be held 1 ½ hours prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice.
