James E. Vest

VEST, James E., 66, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 in Oakwood Village. He was born February 6, 1949 in Springfield the son of Edgar and Anita (Drake) Vest. Jim worked as an assembler for International Harvester for 35 years retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Union Club and was a bass guitarist for a number of years in the Dayton and Springfield area. Survivors include his wife of over 44 years, Judy (Lovelace); three children, James B. Vest, Piqua, Christina & Ray Murray, Springfield and Anita Vest, Springfield; four grandchildren, Kasandra Vest, Ryan Winkle, Erin Murray and Dylan Murray and one brother, Gayle Vest, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Bill Kramer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 4:00 pm. Memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
