Isabel Demma

DEMMA, Isabel T. "Cupie", 88, of Springfield, died May 30, 2015 in Forest Glen. She was born May 20, 1927 in Springfield the daughter of Joseph and Isabella (Impellittire) Demma. Cupie was a 1944 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She had been employed by the City of Springfield, retiring in 1987. Survivors include a number of very special nieces, nephews, including Larry Demma, Frank Demma, Adrienne Walls and Melanie Kuhlman, and several cousins. She always felt blessed for having such a beautiful immediate and generations of family, plus others that came into her life and became both extended family and dearest friends including Anna Ivory and Theresa Mitchell. They were all always there with their caring, help, prayers, love and support. She always had such a love and special feelings for music, dancing and piano. Cupie was grateful for God's gift to be able to play by ear. Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers, Lawrence, Stephen, Phillip and sisters, Gloria Demma and Leboria Donahue. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior in the church, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
