Hugh E. Wiegel, Sr.

Wiegel, Sr., Hugh E., 93, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 in Oakwood Village. He was born December 13, 1920 in Springfield, OH to George and Mabel (Folck) Wiegel. Hugh was a graduate of The Ohio State University, a veteran of the United States Army where he served during WWII. He worked as an Auditor for International Paper. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Grace (Gorsuch); three children, Hugh E. Wiegel, Jr., Springfield, Leslie (Salvatore) DiCarlo and Elizabeth Wiegel, of Columbus; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Hill. A private Graveside Service will be held Tuesday in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
