BADGLEY, HOWARD D.,78, of Springfield, OH died January 30, 2013 in his residence. He was born January 23, 1935 to the late Walter Nelson and Eva (Fields) Badgley. Howard is preceded in death by his first wife Joyce (Davis) Badgley, and his second wife Nancy (Burger) Badgley. He is survived by his sister Mildred Badgley (Charles) Gruntz of Huntsville, OH; brother Jim (Linda) Badgley; sister Sandra Badgley (Scott) Capps; sister-in-law Meredith Compton; and brother-in-law Roger (Joyce) Burger of Springfield and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Howard is a 1953 graduate of Springfield High School and served in the U.S. Army. His working career included Springfield Cabinet Works, Co-Owner and Manager of Northridge Drive Thru and over 40 years in retail grocery. Howard and Nancy were members of Enon Western Square Dance Club and Springfield Western Round Dance Club and had fond memories and great fellowship from both clubs. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 on Saturday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kermit Rowe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior, beginning at 12:30. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Seeing Eye Dog Program c/o the Northridge Lions Club in memory of Howard. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff at Grand Court of Springfield; Acclaim Hospice and Dr. Larry Lawhorne, and Dr. Erickson for their dedicated and loving care shown to our brother, Howard. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
