Helmut H. Woebking

Woebking, Helmut H., 93, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Helmut was born November 29, 1930 in Germany to Walter and Luise (Kosel) Woebking. He immigrated to the United States in 1954 and immediately joined the United States Navy. He was well known in Springfield, as he owned and operated Helmut’s Market and later Helmut’s Springfield Provision. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Erika (Goda) Woebking; one daughter, Claudia (Randy) Perry; three granddaughters, Erika (Jonathan) Mihoci, Sara (Billy) Perry Kunchik and Elyse (Nick) Augustine; seven great grandchildren; and special pet, Ellie. Services for Helmut will be held at a later date.
