Wiegel, Jr., Harry T., 94, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Harry was born February 16, 1922 in Springfield, OH to Harry and Betty (Hollis) Wiegel, Sr. He was the owner of Wiegel's Meat for many years, and was the last surviving Wiegel meat cutter, going all the way back to 1825. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and was also a member of The Elks Lodge #51, The Masonic Lodge, The Eagles Lodge, The Union Club and The Moose Lodge. He also served honorably in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, June; two grandchildren, Justin Liette and Alexander (Sabrina) Liette; two great granddaughters, Louelle and Nora Liette; one niece, Judy (Ben) Lammers; one nephew, John (Terry) Wiegel; and special friend, Myron Wells. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheri; one niece, Jackie; one brother, Jack, and sister-in-law, Betty. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Pollock officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with an Elks service being held at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
