Harold R. Skinner

Skinner, Harold R., 91, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Oakwood Village. Harold was born July 14, 1924 in Springfield the son of William and Katherine (Bauer) Skinner. He retired from Navistar in 1984 after 43 years of service and was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Survivors include five children and spouses, Julienne Skinner of Cincinnati, John W. (Cheryl) Skinner, Maureen (Keith) Furman, Michael Skinner and Greg (Carol) Skinner all of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Emily, Michelle, Johnny, Daniel, Lauren, Alan, Kristen, Andy and Susan; 13 great-grandchildren and one brother, Paul Skinner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 2012; grandson, Matthew; one sister and three brothers. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the caring staff at Oakwood Village for all the kindness and exceptional care for their dad. Visitation will be held Monday (today) from 4-7 p.m. in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Raphael Church.
