Grace G. Wiegel

Wiegel, Grace G., 94, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 in Oakwood Village. Grace was born June 30, 1920 in Springfield, OH to Leslie and Grace (Wickham) Gorsuch. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Trinity College in Washington, D.C. where she received a degree in Art and Biology and Wittenberg University where she received a BA in Education. Grace went on to teach Biology at Shawnee High School. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Survivors include three children, Hugh E. Wiegel, Jr., Springfield, Leslie (Salvatore) DiCarlo and Elizabeth Wiegel, of Columbus; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh E., Sr., in 2014. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oakwood Village for all their care and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday in St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
