Glenn A. Whip

Whip, Glenn A., 65, of Springfield, OH, passed away unexpectedly October 23, 2013 in Sabina, OH. Glenn was born on November 11, 1947 in Springfield, OH to Louis "Jack" and Ernestine (Jackson) Whip. He worked as an IBEW union electrician and was a member of Local 669 and Local 82 for over 40 years. Glenn was greatly respected in the field, serving as Union President of Local 669 for many years. He was married for 32 years to his high school sweetheart Rita (Fields) Whip. Glenn is survived by two sons, Scott (Angie) Whip and Brad (Jennifer) Whip, Springfield; five grandchildren, Miranda, Derek, Dane, Lexi and Olivia; a sister, Debbie (Mike) McFann, South Vienna; a sister-in-law, Helen (Raymond) Whip, Springfield; one niece and four nephews along with numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Victoria Lynn Whip, and his brother Raymond "Bud" Whip. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family, as requested by the deceased. He will be remembered as a loving Father and Grandfather, a faithful friend and leader of men. The family would like to thank all of those who have sent their thoughts and prayers, many of which have been a testament to the number of lives Glenn impacted during his life.
