Gladys L. Shirley

SHIRLEY, Gladys L., age 93, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015 in Springfield, Ohio. Born to Archie and Clara Blainey, she lived most of her life in Sandusky, Ohio. A graduate of Sandusky High School in 1940, she attended Sandusky Business College. She retired from Ford Motor Co. after working as a traffic and purchasing rep for 28 years. Gladys attended First Faith Community Church, was a member of Sandusky Yacht Club, Democratic Women of Erie County and the 1940 Class of Sandusky High School Assoc. She is survived by daughter, Dianne (Jerry) Simonton, Springfield, grandchildren, Matt (Sarah) Simonton, Naperville, IL, Becky (Rob) Andersen, Breckenridge, CO, and great grandchildren, Si, Caroline, Noah, Hudson and Holden. She was preceded in death by her husband Orley (Red) W. Shirley, sisters Marion (Bill) Hershiser, Helen (Warren) Gardner and brother, Clarence (Helen) Blainey. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment at Restlawn Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
