Geraldine Biersteker

Biersteker, Geraldine (Vander Pas), 89, passed away September 12, 2015 at Oakwood Health Center. She was born January 19, 1926 in Little Chute, Wisconsin to Willem and Marie (Coonen) Vander Pas, who came to the United States from the Netherlands in 1902. She was the last survivor of nine children. Geraldine was married on February 2, 1946 to her husband, John. They were married for sixty years He preceded her in death in 2006. Geraldine spent most of her life in Bexley, Ohio. She was a wonderful mother to and survived by Dale (Lydia) Biersteker, Rhonda (Thomas) Whitacre, Scott (Mary Jo) Biersteker, Bill (Jayne) Biersteker and David Biersteker; four grandchildren, Derek, Megan, Steve, Laura and five great-grandchildren. Geraldine was a member of St. Catharine's Catholic Church (Bexley) and St. Teresa Catholic Church (Springfield). A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
