Geraldine Anne "Jerrianne" Steele

Steele, Geraldine Anne "Jerrianne", 83, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in her home on December 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield on June 27, 1937, the daughter of Jerome and Mary Schutte. She was preceded in death by Don Steele, her loving husband of 41 years. For well over 40 years, Jerrianne devoted herself to a life of service, working and volunteering in various capacities for St. Teresa School and Parish. When she wasn't cross stitching beautiful decorative quilts, she tirelessly baked cookies, and her much prized pecan rolls. A skilled calligrapher, many special invitations were sent with her lovely penmanship gracing the envelopes. She truly enjoyed tending to her garden, watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Rosemary Digan; children, Christine (Jami) Weaver, Jerome (Tanya) Steele and Brian (Vicki) Steele; grandchildren, Justin (Laken), Zack, Sophia, and Luke; great grandchildren, Evelyn and Aylin, and several nieces and nephews.
