Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Riggin

Riggin, Gerald “Jerry” Wayne, 72, of Troy passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 with his family by his side. Jerry was born on August 3, 1950 in Amherst, OH to Richard and Margaret (Stillwagon) Riggin. He was raised in Lorain, OH and was a graduate of Clearview High School in 1968. He then entered the U.S. Air Force as a jet engine mechanic, where he served honorably and was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. After his military career, Jerry moved to Troy where he began a 39 year career at SEW Eurodrive in Troy as the production foreman, retiring in 2017. Jerry met his wife Beverley in 2000 and spent 23 devoted years together until his death. He was a tremendous father, husband, leader and care giver. His generous nature touched the lives of many family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Patty; mother and father; and brother, Rick. He is survived by his wife Beverley; sister, Judy (Joe); children, Greg (Laura), Tony (Cindy), Cindy (Dusty), Jason (Amy); Grandchildren, Scarlett, Taylor, Hayden, Riley, Kylee, Jonathan, Benjamin and Braylon; Great Grandchildren, Leland and Warren; many nieces and nephews; and pet, Kanga.
