STAFFORD, George Taylor, 81, of Springfield, passed away October 31, 2013 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born December 3, 1931 in Paintsville, KY the son of Earle and Florella (Hess) Stafford. He had worked as a Psychologist in his own practice and at Springfield City Schools for over 35 years. He was also the resident psychologist at Mueller Residential Center. George was a member and moderator at First United Church of Christ and a member and secretary of the Clark County Shriners. Survivors include his wife of many loving years, Geraldine "Gerry" (Jacoby) Stafford; two daughters, Sherry Loibl, Berkley Springs, WV and Jennifer Stafford, Fairborn, OH; two step-children, Gwen Minnick, Webster, TX and Gregory Eichelman, Sacramento, CA; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Davis, Cassandra Bowles, Shawn Smith, Shane Smith, James Morris Judge, Elizabeth Judge, Andrea Palker and Elizabeth Eichelman; seven great grandchildren, Jessica, Reese, Reagan, Logan, Evert, Blaze and Zane; one brother, Jesse E. Stafford, Tampa. FL; a special sister-in-law, Juanita Stafford, Mt. Sterling, KY and a very special Goddaughter, Karissa and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Helen Stafford and a brother, Morris Stafford. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at First United Church of Christ with an additional hour of visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. in the church. Memorial donations may be made to First United Church of Christ or Clark County Shriners.
