George Entler

Entler, George Gilbert, 80, of Springfield, died February 5, 2013. He was born July 27, 1932 in Pike County, OH to the late Montford and Florence (Merritt) Entler. George attended schools in Pike County, Springfield and graduated from South Charleston High School class of 1950. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, was retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, was a member of Northridge United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge and Eagles where he had many special friends and enjoyed eating lunch. George was married to Christine Bloomfield Entler on September 28, 1979 until her death on March 31, 1991. He is survived by Christine's children, Diana Lynn (Steve) Seitz, Radcliff, KY, Sondra Billet, David Billet (Linda) and Daniel Bloomfield, Springfield; grandchildren, Robert (Linda) Seitz, Amy (Shawn) Ward and Justin (Jennifer) Billet; great grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Ryan, Bailey, Shane, Daniel and Phoenix; a sister, Mildred Sellers, Peoria, IL, brother, James (Judith) Entler, South Vienna, OH, a sister in law, Christine (Jim) Nawman; and a dear friend, Phyllis Whitmer and her family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Entler, Paul (Delores) Entler and sisters, Velma Ruth Entler, Avanelle (Walt) Shoemaker, Freeda (Vora) Holton; Norma (James) Thomas, Roberta (Jack) Neff and brother in law, William Sellers, and a dear friend Betty Brown Leeth. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kenneth Woode, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
