Elliott, Gary Steven, of Murrells Inlet, SC, has traveled on to join loved family and friends. His adventures here on earth have been met. Gary retired from the Clark County Sheriff's Department, as a Sergeant, after 30 years. He also worked 10 years as a Bailiff for Municipal Court. Gary loved the comradery of fellow workers he called friends. Gary served his country as a Sergeant in the Airforce during the Vietnam War. He distinguished himself by meritorious service as a Sentry Dog Handler with Security Police. Gary also received several accommodations for heroism during his tenure in the Airforce. Gary will be leaving to this world his loved children, Steven, Kearstin, Scott (Nicole) and Sean. He was very proud of their accomplishments. Also pulling up the future of his memories will be his loved grandchildren, (his namesake) Ellie, Devin, Gunnar, Dylan, Chloe, Max, Gavin and Kaiden. Gary's grandson Nick, parents Gene and Bobbie, Dorothy and Lee and sister, Candy, have already hooked up with him to show him the ropes in Heaven. Then, there is the love of his life, "Sherry." He has bequeathed her for all of you to keep safe. Good luck with that! Services for Gary will be held at CONROY FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, July 26 at 1:00pm. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00pm. Procession to Rose Hill Burial Park will follow, where honors will take place. Family, friends and drinking buddies are welcome to join in on Gary's celebration of life at the VFW 1031 on Main Street. Gary loved all of you. What a fun life he had!
