Frederick W. Ehrle

EHRLE, Frederick W., 76, of Springfield, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 in Heartland of Springfield. He was born September 18, 1940 in Springfield the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Ervin) Ehrle. Survivors include three sons and spouses, Roger & Cris Ehrle, Brian & Susan Ehrle and Scott & Davi Ehrle; 5 grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Donna Cultice and Debbie & Gary Myers and one sister, Susan Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen in 2005, a brother, Bobby and a stepson, Douglas Doyle. Fred worked as a machinist for Globe Products for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge #429, Eagles #397 and the Union Club. Fred enjoyed time with his family, fishing, cruising, water aerobics, USS activities, travel and was an avid sports fan. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Greater Dayton Cancer Center and Heartland Hospice for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kyle Kirchner officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
