Frederick Joseph "Bud" Murray

MURRAY, Frederick Joseph "Bud", 86, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Vancrest of New Carlisle. He was born May 19, 1931 in Springfield the son of John F. and Helen M. (McDonough) Murray. Bud worked as a warehouse manager for Pepsi Cola for 33 years retiring in 1994. He was member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #624, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Survivors include his five children and spouses, Michael (Barbara) Murray of New Carlisle, Maureen (David Massengill) Murray of Lanesville, Indiana, Margaret (Keith) Hughes of Springfield, Marie Hennigan of New Carlisle and Mary Ann Beach of Frederick, Maryland; 10 grandchildren, Megan, Brittany, Madelynn, Jason, Jared, Devin, Sarah, Michelle, Morgan and Brad; great grandson, Zion; siblings, Mary Katherine "Matey" Derr, John F. "Jack" Murray, June Ann & Bob Clingerman, Helen Hankel, Rita & Bob Everhart and Pat Murray; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, especially Booker T. Wooten, Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Shirley in 2016 and a daughter, Michelle Gnau in 1996. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday in CONROY FUERAL HOME with a Knights of Columbus service at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
