Francis J. "Frank" Wall

Wall, Francis J. "Frank", 87, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 in his home. He was born June 12, 1927 in Waterbury, CT to Vincent and Elizabeth (Bowen) Wall. Frank retired as a Tool & Die Maker from Navistar after 30 years. He was also a member of the UAW Local 402, St. Teresa Church, and a Veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Barbara (Gnau) Wall; 9 children, Dennis (Claire) Wall, Patty Scott, Karen (Jerry) Humphreys, David Fugate, Michelle Fugate, Cindy Krugh, Frank (Heather) Wall, Barb Knabe and Cathleen (Dominus) Johnson; 14 grandchildren, Stefanie Roberts, Dustin Scott, Ryan, Brandon and Kailey Krugh, Amanda and Kaylee Wall, Eric, Ellie and Emily Knabe, Jade Brown, Alyza, Gabryel and Londyn Johnson; two great grandchildren, Kael and Landree Scott; one grandchild and great grandchild on the way; and one sister, Patty (Ted) McDonald. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth; brother, Vinny; and three sisters, Betty, Marie and Barb. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday in St. Teresa Church at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior in the church. Burial to follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
