Fay Christine Walters

Walters, Fay Christine, lovingly known to all as Aunt Chris, 89, of Springfield, passed away at 2:11 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Temple, Texas on December 23, 1924. She made a career out of sewing professionally and for herself, family and friends. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 8437, Enon for many years. Survivors include her nephew, Terry (Cherri) Craft of Fairborn; two nieces, Kathy (Florian) Kobylarczyk and Hope (Ray) Hrabik all of Wisconsin and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Walters; two brothers, Cecil and Howard Craft and sister, Helen Schwake. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Ed Walters officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Aunt Chris, may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 444 W. Harding Road, Springfield, Ohio 45504.
