Eva E. May

MAY, Eva E. 94, of Springfield, with her children by her side, passed away from time to eternity into the presence of her precious Lord and Savior. She was born March 2, 1920 in Elliott County, KY the daughter of Harve and Samantha (Kegley) Binion. Eva had worked as a nurses aid and receptionist at the I.O.O.F. Home for 35 years retiring in 2000 and was a member of Maiden Lane Church of God. Survivors include her two children, Janice (Larry) Jamison and Dick (Donna) May, both of Springfield; two grandsons, Brad Jamison, IN and Todd (Stacey) Jamison, OH; four great grandchildren, Andrew, Connor, Megan and Liam; her dearest friend of 75 years, Mamie Wunderly and two co-workers and friends of 39 years, Gertie Dixon and Jeanie Wills. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Dale May in 1975 and nine brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank all the staff and aides at the Masonic Home for their caring support and friendship over the years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday in Maiden Lane Church of God with visitation starting one-hour prior at 10:00. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
