Eugene Paul Burnett

Burnett, Eugene Paul, 93, of South Vienna, passed away on May 15, 2016. Paul was born on November 30, 1922 in Newton, Iowa, the son of William and Ora Bell (Hicks) Burnett. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and spent his days as a local farmer. Survivors include his three children, Sue Hearlihy of Plano, TX, Tom (Sally) Burnett of South Vienna and Judy Burnett of Springfield; one brother, Francis Burnett of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arnnie; his son, Jerry; his sister, Helen Morrow; his brother, Jinks Burnett; his grandson, Laythan Burnett and his son-in-law, Bob Hearlihy. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in New Carlisle Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
