Ethel W. Hixon

HIXON, Ethel W., 90, formerly of the Dayton area, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2017 at Forest Glen Health Campus following a serious decline from another massive stroke. She was born October 31, 1926 in Frenchburg, KY the daughter of Abner and Leanah (Allen) Jewell. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William in 2009, her parents, 2 sisters, Sylvia Proffit and Gladys Smith, 2 brothers, Albert Jewell and Herbert Jewell and one daughter by marriage, Sandy Dixon. Survivors include her two daughters, Susan Fisher, Springfield, OH and Teresa Fisher, Tecumseh, MI; one sister, Betty Doughty, Novi, MI; three daughters by marriage, Louise & Ivan Taylor, Waleka & Tim Hetico and Billie & Joe Blazer; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren by marriage, Jill Sanders, Jami Kyler, Wendy Swank, Pam Dixon, Alex Blazer and Blake Blazer; great grandchildren Ella Sanders, Casey Swank, Isaac Swank, Noah Wooten and Sloan Kyler; very special friends, Nancy Oney and Tim Day and her caregivers at Villa Springfield and Forest Glen. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Tom Brodbeck officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
