Erma M. Martin

Martin, Erma M., of Springfield, passed away peacefully June 17, 2014 at home where she resided with her daughter and son-on-law. She was born February 15 in Augusta, KS the daughter of Thomas and Rose (Truax) Vance. Erma worked at Rhodes Paper Box for 30 years, retiring in 2007. She is survived by three children, Marty (Diane) Martin, Steven (Teresa) Martin and Brenda (Joe) Speaks; eight grandchildren, Robert, Jason, Damon, Evie, Will, Diana, Marty, and Doug; 18 great grandchildren, and one sister Colleen Fitzgerald of Bentonville, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Martin; one grandson Marty Lee Martin, 1 brother, 5 sisters and one son-in-law, Robert O'Neal. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel with visitation to be held 30 minutes prior in the chapel. Arrangements by Conroy Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
