Drennen, Elizabeth Ruth (Cain), 96, of Springfield, died January 26, 2013 in Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born January 23, 1917 in Springfield, OH the seventh child to William and Mary (Frantz) Cain. Ruth was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and was a Life Member of V.F.W. Post 1031 Women's Auxiliary. In addition to being a homemaker she worked many years for the Ohio Employment Services and in her spare time was a Tuppeware representative. Ruth loved spending time with family, also loved music, dancing, euchre, chocolate, cooking, clouds, Christmas, snow and enjoying time with her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. (Cramer) King; 6 grandchildren, Thomas DeWitt, Elizabeth (Larry) Dunson, Danny (Joyce) DeWitt, Greg Hart, Chris (Sara) DeWitt, Leslie (Bill) Hart-Davidson ; and four great grandchildren, David (Katie) Kennedy, Dustin Kennedy, Megan Dunson, Jessica Dunson; four great great grandchildren, Taylor Kennedy, Lily Hart-Davidson, Michael Kennedy and Daniel Kennedy; brother in law, Richard (Virginia) Drennen; sisters in law, Mary Drennen, Shirley Drennen and Rosemary Schneider; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo J. "Babe" Drennen; a son, James E. Hart; three brothers; and three sisters. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 Tuesday with a V.F.W. Auxiliary service at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Fr. Paul Hurst in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to Mike Lacey and the staff of Forest Glen/Legacy, Dr. Joseph Morman and Dr. Arthur Win for their loving and exceptional care.
