LEWANDOWSKI, Elizabeth "Betty" (Wilson), 85, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Southbrook Care Center. She was born July 3, 1929 in Springfield the daughter of Walter and Marie (Fitzgerald) Rice. Betty was the owner and operator of Tres Chic Hair Designs for many years and was loved by many numerous patrons that she considered good friends. She was known for her sense of humor and for being a kind and generous lady. Survivors include her two daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Earley and Tammy Wilson; two grandsons, Steve (Kristen) Earley and Lucas (Nicki) Earley; five great grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Owen, Jacob and Lilly Earley, all of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Wilson in 1986, her second husband, Leonard Lewandowski, in 2008, two sisters, Mary Washburn and Patty Wilkins; and four brothers, Walter, Bob, Paul and Bill Rice. We would like to thank and send our love and appreciation to Southbrook Care Facility and the loving and caring staff there for all of their love and support of our mother and our family. They have become like family to us. Also to Optum Hospice nurse, Tammy. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Keith Sarver officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
