RADER, Edward W. "Bill", 77, of Springfield passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born December 5, 1937 in Springfield the son of Edward L. and Marguerite (Kearns) Rader. He worked as an assembler for International Harvester for 42 years. Bill was a 1955 graduate of Catholic Central High School, a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, V.F.W. #1035, Eagles #397, U.A.W. Local 402 and a US Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Leah (Hawver); six children and spouses, Michael (Jill) Massie, Suzanne Massie, Marianne (Roc) Keim, Eric W. Rader, Edward "Ted" Rader and Elizabeth "Beth" (Matt) McCain; six grandchildren, Becca, Alex and Christopher Massie, Benjamin Keim, Amanda Sullivan and Carston McCain; one sister, Frances Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann (Copeland), his parents, his step-mother, Claudia M. Rader and a special aunt and uncle, Mary and John Brown. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 on Tuesday in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
