Duane E. Williamson

Williamson, Duane E., 79, of Springfield passed away on September 14, 2015 in his residence. Duane was born on July 25, 1936 in Kimmell, IN to Melvin O. Williamson and Margaret M. (Patton). He was a veteran of the United States Army and had been employed as a Supervisor for Navistar for 30 years before retiring. He was also a member of High Street Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Dixon); two children, Daniel (Lyn) Williamson and Pam (Steven) Temple; sister, Nancy Wykoff; seven grandchildren, Brad (Christina) Williamson, Kyle (Anna Landry) Williamson, Sarah (Adam) Renner, Lauren (Josh) Robinette, Amy (Jared) Frasure, Terry Temple and Alex Temple; eight great-grandchildren, Liliana, Pax, Lucy, Carson, Logan, Austin, Peyton and Tristan; daughter-in-law Mindy Barrett. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Edward Williamson and his grandson, Andrew Tyler Williamson. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday at High Street Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held two hours prior starting at 11:00am at the church. The family would like to thank Dr. Darr, Dr. Ahern, Community Mercy Hospice, aides from the Visiting Angels, neighbors providing meals, Walt Brown & Homebound and family and friends for their prayers and support. Memorial donations may be made to the High Street Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
