Perry, Dr. James P., 74, of Springfield, died September 3, 2016 in his residence. He was born September 16, 1941 in Springfield, OH to Paul E. and Alice C. (Powers) Perry. Jim had retired as C.E.O. of Mental Health Services of Clark and Madison Counties after 40 years of service. During that time he also had the privilege of serving the needs of his private practice clients, which he truly loved. He graduated from University of Dayton in 1963 with a B.A. Degree, received his Masters of Social Work from Indiana University, Masters and P.H.D. of Social Work from The Ohio State University. He was a member of the St. Teresa Catholic Church, Springfield Rotary, Notre Dame Club, Springfield Country Club, former Board of Directors for Springfield Symphony and Interfaith Hospitality Network.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Patricia L. (Rauch); four children, Paul and Laura Perry, M.D., Evansville, IN, James and Nicole Perry, M.D., Mooresville, IN Colleen and David Corrigan, Kettering, OH and Shannon Reber, Terrace Park, OH; 13 grandchildren, Megan, Conor, Claire Perry and Bailey Box, Bridget, James, Gretchen and Gabriel Perry, Kelly and Brent Corrigan, Michael, Sean and Finnegan Reber; two great grandchildren, Liam and Wyatt Corrigan; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Teresa Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
