Dorothy M. Welch

WELCH, Dorothy M., 91, of Springfield passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born December 7, 1923 in Springfield the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Cherry) Ufheil. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1941, was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church for over 60 years and CLC #207. Survivors include eight children and spouses, Margaret & Doug Erhardt, Beavercreek, OH, James & Terese Welch, Colorado Springs, CO, Kathy & Robert Phillips, Springfield, OH, Richard Welch, Springfield, OH, Elaine & Steve Hackett, Springfield, JoAnne & John Neiswinger, Springfield, David Welch, Springfield and Amy & Tom Conroy, Centerville, OH; 16 grandchildren, Jon Welch, Kyle (Kim) and Kristin Erhardt, Kate Phillips, Heather Cary (Bren) and Brandon Welch, Steve Hackett Jr. (Mandi), Michael Hackett, Andrea Miller (Tony), Nick and Matthew Neiswinger, Andrew, Madison, Patrick and Lauren Conroy; 6 great grandchildren, Alexis Welch, Easton and Grayson Erhardt, Avery Cary, Jake Boop and Nathan Hackett and one sister-in-law, Delores Hohlmayer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1995 and lifelong, dear friend, Dorothy Storer. Dorothy was a kind, humble and gentle soul who found good in everyone. Patience was her greatest virtue and family was her greatest joy. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul or the Second Harvest Food Bank.
