Dorothy M. Thrasher

THRASHER, Dorothy M., 84, of Springfield, passed away Monday, September 01, 2014 in her residence. She was born July 28, 1930 in Springfield the daughter of Jesse and Anna (Hughes) Rogers. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Karen & Rod Yike, Springfield, Mark & Pamela Thrasher, Springfield, David Thrasher, Minnesota, Kurt Thrasher, Springfield and Diana Poole, Springfield; grandchildren, Brian Pontzler, Jeff Pontzler, Stephanie Likens, Dustin Thrasher, Katie Thrasher, Stacy Poole and Zachary Poole; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Patty Pennington and Peggy Rogers; one brother, Alan & Kay Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy leaves behind a legacy of love and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, in 1986. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
