Dorothy J. Storer

STORER, Dorothy J., 91, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Villa Springfield. She was born April 4, 1923 in Springfield the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Hauff) Kelly. She was a 1944 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and belonged to the St. Bernard Rosary Sodality and Lucky Eleven Ladies Club which lasted 70 years. Dorothy had worked at Crowell-Collier and volunteered at St. Joseph Middle School. Survivors include five children, Janet (Jerry) Cucinello, Georgia, Thomas (Dianne) Storer, Springfield, Neil (Jean) Storer, Tennessee, Marcy (Jeff) Rothe, North Carolina and David (TC) Storer, Springfield; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis & Clinton Norris, Springfield; brother-in-law, Roger (Carol) Storer, numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Dorothy Welch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1980. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
