Dorothy J. "Dot" Hesson

Hesson, Dorothy J. "Dot", 94, of Springfield, died September 25, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born January 21, 1923 in Springfield, OH to Samuel and Dora (Newman) Day. Dot was an avid Reds fan and enjoyed euchre with her many friends. Survivors include two children, Terry (Cheryl) Hesson, Springfield, and Jeri Sue Hesson, Arizona; three grandchildren, Miranda L. Hesson, Brandi Edley and Tony (Monica) Edley; 5 great grandchildren, Ali, Mackenzie, Dionte, Israel and Anthony; a sister, Marjorie McClure; a brother, Samuel "Bud" (Mary Jane) Day; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C., and two sisters, Ellen Wolfe Cottrell and Betty Fenwick. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
