Doris J. Harris

Harris, Doris J., 89, of Springfield, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 in Villa Springfield. She was born in Springfield on March 1, 1925 the daughter of Marvin and Louise (Morris) Shook. She was a 1943 graduate of Springfield High School, a longtime member of Oakland Presbyterian Church and retired in 1982 from C.E. Bauer Brothers after many years of service. Survivors include her nieces, Beverly Jean (William) Kelley and Holly Evans; great niece, Melinda (David) Wilson; great great nieces, Kristina and Sarah Wilson; cousins, Thomas and Molly Morris and four step-daughters, Judith Hodge, Diana (David) Long, Melinda (Earl) Cutlip and Claudia (John) Vallery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne and her sister, Betty Evans. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Rose Hill Chapel with Pastor Dwight McCormick officiating.
