TURNER, Donna J., 88, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Donna was born September 17, 1929 in Summerford, Ohio to Thurman and Ethel (Cox) Lyons. She is survived by her husband, Rufus of 70 years, Yes, 70 years!; four children, Pamela Hudson, Nancy Kelley, Gary Turner and Marc (Dyane) Turner; six grandchildren, Danielle (Hudson) Finch, Payton, Clint (Angie), Jesse, Madee and Mary Jayne Turner; 9 great grandchildren, Dominic, Trinity, Baylie, Lillian, Delylah, Matthew, Hunter, Ethan and R.J.; siblings, Jim Lyons and Patty McDonald; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna enjoyed everything that had to do with spending time with her Family. She also enjoyed word searches, watching Judge Judy, gossip, funny stories, a cuss word here and there, and playing computer games while drinking her two Bud Lights every night. Every Sunday for 30 years we gathered to eat and play cards at her and Rufus' house. A day full of laughs, poker, cussing, full bellies and family. She really enjoyed hearing about and watching videos of her great-grandchildren's sporting events and plays. She also had awesome nicknames for everyone. We will miss being backhanded by her right hand with the weird pinky and being called farts, stinkers and well, bad words we can't say on here. Donna was the greatest Wife, Mother, grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Aunt anyone could have. Our Family Hopes and Prays you may all have a Donna some day. We sure enjoyed ours. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Trinity Hudson and granddaughter April Lynne; and six brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses that cared for her at Springfield Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held on Monday from 1 - 3 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Private services will be held at Rosehill Burial Park at a later date.
