Donald Vance

VANCE, Donald L., 76, of Springfield, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born April 1, 1940 in Springfield the son of Carl and Catherine (Hildebrand) Vance. Donald worked as a machinist for Promac, Inc. for a number of years. He was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three children, Donald E. Vance, Kelly J. Miller and Travis Vance; one stepson, Randy (Robin) Day; special granddaughters, Ashley Miller and Shelby Vance and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and one special aunt, Teresa Peterson. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey in 2011, his parents and two sisters, Anita and Carolyn. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Earl Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held one-hour prior from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
