WILSON, Donald E. "Don", 87, London, Ohio, passed away on March 19, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1928 in Dayton, OH the son of Ralph I. and Wilda (Hawkins) Wilson. Don was a retired farmer after 60 years. He was a veteran who served in the US Army, spending one year in Greenland. He loved golf and spent many days playing at Locust Hills Golf Club. He was a graduate of Fairview High School "Class of 1946" in Dayton, OH. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Joyce (Shoemaker) Wilson, his daughter Teresa M. Wilson of Columbus, OH; son John D. (Kelly Evans) Wilson and their three children, Emma, Elyse and Eli of Mechanicsburg, OH; his sister Helen Yeager of Kettering, OH and her four children, Mike (Tamera) Yeager, Becky (Vince) Creech, Jane Yeager, Steve (Jean) Yeager; one brother-in-law, Tom (Sandy) Shoemaker and their family. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Robert Wilson, niece Peggy Erisman, in-laws Floyd and Marie Shoemaker and brother-in-law Don Yeager. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Scott Anderson from Messiah Lutheran Church, Urbana, presiding. Burial will be in St Charles Borromeo Cemetery in South Charleston. Contributions may be made in Don's memory to a charity of your choice.
